We all love a little socializing, and with that often comes drinking. Sunday Funday leads to Margarita Monday, Taco Tuesday, and Wino Wednesday. And sometime we need to unwind after a long work day, or maybe we want to celebrate after work. But drinking is full of calories. Drinking slows your metabolism, and drinking leads to hangovers.
Studies have shown that the hours from 4-6 pm are best for peak athletic performance, so hit the gym instead of the bar! Here are a few more reasons that Healthy Hour is a better idea than Happy Hour.
1. Working out makes you happy. Really. Physical activity releases dopamine, the neurotransmitter responsible for feelings of happiness and pleasure.
2. It boosts your confidence. This is a given. Working out gets you toned, extra fat and calories, and builds muscles. As you see your body transform, you won't be able to help but feel good about yourself. Better self esteem means more happiness.
3. Working out relieves stress. That’s because when you exercise, you’re actually subjecting yourself to a low-level form of stress by raising your heart rate and triggering a burst of hormonal changes. When you subject yourself to the stress of exercise enough, your body will eventually get better at handling the rest of life's stressors.
Exercise, and be happy.
The next time you’re feeling down, stressed or anxious, get off the couch, grab out cute Happy Hour workout tank, and get some exercise instead.
Because you'll not only feel more confident, energized, and calm — you’ll be a healthier and happier person for life.

What do extreme athletes, elite military forces, and football teams have in common?
They all do lots of burpees.
But burpees aren’t just beneficial for hardcore athletes or certified badasses, they're for EVERYONE. Including you!
Burpees will also help you scorch fat, rev up your metabolism and get you conditioned like no other exercise can.
